How to adapt? Due to the covid-19 pandemic?

Due to the covid-19 pandemic, several changes occurred in the workplace. The crisis that has affected many companies has brought to light the discrepancy between the skills valued previously and those that are really necessary to operate in a digital world.

Consequently, the leaders of the organizations began to realize the importance of investing in impactful actions, in the constant training of their employees and in the necessary adaptations to continue growing even in the face of uncertainties.

Fortunately, to mitigate the impact, there is an effective way out: digital qualification (or digital upskilling, in the concept originated from English).

New skills

The Upskilling Hopes & Fears survey conducted by PwC found that 77% of workers "believe that technology will have a positive effect on work".

With this in mind, the company - which today has a network of firms in 157 countries - has been discussing the topic on a global level, with the help of a training program that prepares the human capital of companies for the new demands of the Marketplace.

“This is a complex problem that requires business leaders, governments and educators to work together to make the world a more resilient, capable and inclusive place. At PwC, we believe that everyone should be able to live, learn, work and participate in the digital world. Our global Novo Mundo Novas CompetĂȘncias program looks at the need to increase the qualification of the workforce in the world and eliminate the digital divide ”, says Marcos Panassol, partner at PwC Brasil and leader in digital upskilling.
